Kas keegi on voodi all?
Room 950, a project by Spanish performer and director Juan Dominguez, plays with the notion of representation. The performance turns the spectator into an actor, making him perform own expectation. What’s behind the closet door? Is someone under the bed? And foremost who is the person in the mirror?
Juan Dominguez, born in Valladolid in 1964, is a performer, choreographer, stage director and curator. He lives and works in Berlin and Madrid. Since 1987 he has worked as a performer and artistic assistant with various choreographers and companies in Europe. Since 1992 he has been developing his own work, based on questions related to theatre as a medium and the parameters of dance -- time and space. Exploring the relationship between the different codes, his work advocates the complete dissolution of the separation of fiction and reality. Currently he is focusing on the question of how to radicalize the necessity of creation and the repercussions of choreographic work.
